Refund policy
Welcome to Bark + Ride, where we design and sell high-quality dog gear, food, and equipment for both dogs and their owners. Your satisfaction is our top priority. This policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returns, refunds, and exchanges in compliance with UK law.
1. General Returns Policy
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return most items within 30 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange. The item must be unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging, with tags still attached.
2. Returning Items
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Email our customer service team at woof@barkandridesports.com with your order number and reason for the return.
- Return Authorisation: We will provide you with a detailed return instructions.
- Package the Item: Ensure the item is securely packaged to avoid damage during transit.
- Shipping: Ship the item back to us using a trackable shipping method. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
3. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 10 business days.
4. Exchanges
If you wish to exchange an item for a different size, colour, or product, please follow the same steps as for a return. Indicate the desired exchange item in your return request email. If the requested item is out of stock, we will notify you and offer a refund or alternative.
5. Faulty or Incorrect Items
If your item is faulty or incorrect, please contact us within 30 days of receipt. We will arrange for the return and inspection of the item and cover the return shipping costs. Upon verification, we will offer a replacement, repair, or full refund.
6. Warranty of Bark + Ride Products
We offer a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase on our own brand Bark + Ride products. This warranty is subject to the condition that the product has received normal use and has not been excessively worn or damaged beyond regular use. We cannot accept responsibility for user error or accidental breakage. All non-Bark + Ride products will fall under the manufacturer's warranty, which varies between brands. We will work with you and the manufacturer to resolve any warranty issues with their products.
7. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Perishable goods (e.g., dog food, treats)
- Custom or personalised items
- Gift cards
- Items marked as "Final Sale"
8. Sale Items
Sale items can be returned or exchanged unless they are marked as "Final Sale." The refund will be the amount paid for the item, not the original price.
9. Your Rights Under UK Law
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods for a full refund, including standard delivery costs. To exercise this right, please notify us in writing within the 14-day period. You then have an additional 14 days to return the goods to us.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
